ASSIGNMENT ONE DUE THURSDAY - Pick 30 Headlines of your choice from www.dailyroation.com.  We picked 30 in class for class use during 'buffer time', in class we picked the ones that covered Tech related - you can pick 30 of any.

Write down the 30 you picked and why in an email to me lmoreno@avhsd.org, example:

1. FiringSquad - this site covers things about computer hardware, I wanted to know more
2. TomsHardware - this site covers articles and example about technology and the site reviews them
3. Crackbaby - this is a very funny site and I find some interesting things
4. InfoSync - is a site about palm pilots and pocketpc's, I have one and want to know more
5. etc.
6. etc.

ASSIGNMENT TWO DUE THURSDAY - Spyware scan of your computer using SpyBot and Adware (the links are on this site), download them both and install them.

Spybot is first, make sure you UPDATE the program, then do a scan.  You will then take a screenshot (use the button PrintScreen' also 'PrtSc' on some keyboard) this copies what you see on the screen to memory, you then have to 'paste' the image into a program like Paint or Wordpad - both are located in your Program Files.  The save the image and email them to me, DONT FORGET that you DONT repair your computer just yet as we are trying to see how many each program finds, email them to me lmoreno@avhsd.org

ASSIGNMENT THREE DUE THURSDAY - all of you know what 'buffer time is', this is either spending time learning how to TYPE, research on DAILY ROTATION or find information on HOWSTUFFWORKS.  Every week we will record what you have learned.  I will check how fast you can type on Thursday and record it, you will also be required to turn in the weekly by email no less than one page report of 10 DailyRotation articles research as follows:

NeoWin News / Microsoft Settle with Sendo /  Mobile device maker, Sendo, have agreed an out of court settlement with industry giant, Microsoft. The specifics of the agreement have not been disclosed, yet is purported to be around the hundreds of millions mark. Sendo are "extremely pleased with the terms".

I have a phone made by Sendo, reading the article it seems as though they will no longer be a part of Microsoft and that might mean my phone will be outdated or phased out without support because the company will go bankrupt.
