| What is ROP? The Regional Occupational Programs train students for entry-level employment and help them upgrade skills through advanced training. Course offerings are based on current and future labor market demands. ROP provides practical, hands-on job training and career guidance. Students are trained in the basic skills needed for a particular job. Some classes include community-based on-the-job training in local businesses and industry. Every course offers a unit on employment-seeking skills, which includes the job application, resume and interview processes. classes available? All classes (not just this) are available from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. You can take classes during your normal periods at the main campus (Palmdale) or at your own campus (limited course offerings). Talk to your local ROP counselor for more details. !Get more info here! |

classes and what's it going to cost? The vocational training requirements start at anyone who is 16 or older. You must also meet any prequalification of the course offering. | The computer repair
class is listed as A+ Track, is this where I can get my A+ Certification? The nation wide certifications for computer repair specialists is governed by the agency CompTIA. ROP Palmdale is not authorized as a training or testing facility, though we are a CompTIA Educational Member. Our course is designed to introduce and guide potential technicians and make sure that they are in the right "track" for meeting the CompTIA compentenices. |
| Why is the A+ class
held in the Laptop Center? If you are assigned to the instructor Leonard Moreno, then the Laptop Center will be your classroom. The Laptop Center provides the same lab and classroom furnishings as the main ROP campus. The Laptop Center is tied in with ROP and takes advantage of the many facility offerings. |
