Special Service Award Recipients

The nomination of this employee for this award must be based on at least one of the following criteria: Unusual competence, courage or performance in an emergency situation or under unusual difficulties; Original suggestions, developments or major improvements in methods, organization or procedures, or for work on a particular project which results in a substantial benefit to the District; Community service may be considered to the extent that it may affect the District. There is no limit to the number of Special Service Awards that may be presented by the Employee Recognition Committee in any one year. An employee may receive this award more than once.

Please keep in mind that NOT ALL all nominees can be chosen for an award. The volunteer voting committees are comprised of fellow teachers and employeeswho have the difficult decision of selecting the award recipients from all of the outstanding nominees. To assist the committees, please be sure to include specific examples, stories, and background materials that fully support the reasoning for the nomination. Blank and unsigned forms, or forms without supporting documentation or explanation are difficult to consider and weigh against those that are complete and list full background and supporting information.
