Helpful Information: When registering for an employment
exam and/or submitting an application KEEP IN MIND you are encouraged
to submit any additional materials you feel would enhance your application
packet. All items must be received by the posted closing date. Suggested
additional items might include a complete chronological resume, professional
reference letters relating directly to the position, vocational training
certificates relevant to the particular position, applicable college
coursework and classes, verification of experience/training working
with juvenilles, and so forth. If applying for more than one position,
you are to bring sufficient xeroxes of these materials with you.
It will be
helpful to have your prior employment data such as dates of employment,
supervisors names, along with employer address and phone numbers in
order to fill out the registration forms.
No one may register nor test for you, and you must have photo identification
with you to register. All candidates must take the appropriate written
examinations for any positions listed. Upon registration, you will show
your valid picture identification to the receptionist, after which you
will be given a receipt of registration listing the date, time and location
of the exam(s). Candidates with prior scores on file for any positions
listed must fill out a registration form to request to carry forward
or REACTIVATE those old scores. If you are not sure if your score is
valid or not, please ask us to check it for you during your registration.
Tests from other districts or agencies can not be considered.

As
directed by our technicians following the registration/testing process,
IF you are telephoned to proceed further and participate in an oral
interview, you will BE REQUIRED to present at least one letter of professional
reference from an outside employer, as well as completing the official
AVUHSD Classified Employment Application to present to the interviewing
selection committee.
