Curriculum Lab Guidelines
and Available Services:
The Professional Resource Center supports the District's curricular and instructional programs. It serves as an idea-exchange center and work area for teachers desiring to acquire or construct instructional materials to be used in the classroom.
All persons using or visiting the Resource Center will be requested
to sign a register. Due to equipment that could be dangerous, children and pets are not allowed in the Lab. This is for their own safety. We are happy to be able to help you with projects you are working on in the Lab, but we cannot take control and do your whole project due to our own workload and lack of personnel. The supplies provided for you in the Lab are to be used on the premises to construct learning and reinforcement materials for classroom use. We do not supply raw materials for projects to be worked on out of the Lab or to be sent home with students. Principals can purchase these special items.
AVAILABLE EQUIPMENT for your use in the Lab includes: A laminator; a poster printer; Ellison letter, number and shape presses; an electric 3-hole punch; Therm-A-Bind binding machine; label maker; and content specific and integrated "lesson plans" that may be copied at the Lab. Personal Computer with Internet access, printer and scanner. Dual deck VCR for use in copying non-copyright tapes. Color, digital, laser copier by Toshiba, which is networked for printing original copies from your computer.
We are always looking for new ideas. If you have educational games, bulletin board ideas, holiday ideas, plays, lesson plans, or anything else that you would like to share with others, bring them in and they will be integrated with our resources.
