Single Subject CLAD/BCLAD. Designed for high school full time on-the-job emergency teachers in the Antelope Valley Union High School District.

Basic Requirements:
Bachelors degree with 21 units of generic and methods coursework (leading to a CLAD/BCLAD credential) 12 units of seminar/practica (3 units each semester, including field supervision and intern seminar)

Learning to Teach Program
Current AVUHSD paraprofessional are encouraged to contact Jennifer Nieves at (661) 948-7655 ext 315 for information on the Teacher Track Program. The Teacher Track program is a career ladder designed to obtain Special Education Teachers from current in-house staff. The program offers appropriate coursework through approved universities and colleges to completion of all teaching requirements. In exchange for schooling, participating paraprofessionals promise to teach for AVUHSD for a certain number of years subject to program requirements.
