Requirements:
* Must be willing to risk being creative.
* Must be16 by September 1 or a Jr.
* Must have your own transportation to the ROP
* Must have introductory level computer skills
* Although having a computer at home is not a requirement, a student should
make time for and should have the capability of regularly accessing the internet
from his school campus, public library, the ROP by way of signing up for additional
lab time, or home.
Course Description:
Digital Art Design is an incredibly broad topic, so for the beginner, this course
is an ideal starting place. D.A.D. is an introductory level course that will
allow the exploration of and use of a number of different types of digital design
software tools and apply them in different ways. We will embark on a year-long
journey that will address a variety of different topics including theories of
design and composition, color theory discovery, graphic design fundamentals,
desktop publishing issues, the exciting world of e-commerce multimedia concepts
including flowcharts, storyboards, layout compositions proposals, and the like.
We will also endeavor to study the basics of logo design, stationery design
and more. The emphasis of this course is the exploration of new media while
seeking to grasp the design realities of traditional media. This course is project
driven and projects will be formatted according to your individual needs.

* Introduction to digital images using Adobe Photoshop 7
* Crafting images using Adobe Illustrator 10.0
* Page creation using Adobe InDesign 2.0
* Creative image-based website design using Fireworks MX and Flash MX
* Understanding the world of 3D Graphics using 3DStudio Max
