Course Description:

Fire Technology 2 (FT-2) provides hands-on training to prepare students for careers in fire-fighting. This course allows students to perform basic entry level skills related to pulling fire hose, operating fire streams, connecting to fire hydrants, raising ladders, and donning personal protective equipment (ie.e. pants, coat, helmet, gloves and self-contained breathing apparatus). FT-2 complements skills required by State Fire Marshal Firefighter-1 and needs of the fire service industry.
