Course Description: This course is designed to train students in basic nursing skills through classroom and lab instruction. Students will learn the fundamentals of patient care, nursing skills, communication skills, disease organisms, basic anatomy and physiology, nutrition, diet therapy, medical terminology and emergency care. Specialty nursing areas and requirements for training will be reviewed. Students will gain a foundation for continuing their education in nursing or related health careers.
