Student Services: Supporting the Whole Student

At the Antelope Valley Union High School District (AVUHSD), our Student Services department is dedicated to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every student can thrive. We believe that academic success goes hand-in-hand with emotional and physical well-being.

Our team provides a comprehensive range of resources designed to meet the diverse needs of our 23,000+ students, including:

  • Socio-Emotional Support: Access to school counselors, psychologists, and mental health professionals through our Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework.

  • Specialized Programs: Dedicated advocacy and resources for Foster Youth, students experiencing homelessness, and those requiring Special Education services.

  • Health & Wellness: Coordination of school nursing services and community health partnerships to ensure student safety.

  • Engagement & Equity: Promoting a positive school culture through PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) and ensuring equitable access to all educational opportunities.

We are committed to empowering our students with the skills and resilience they need to graduate prepared for college, career, and life.
